Because of my disablity I thought

As a head of the family and disabled I was depending on a social grant that I receive monthly from the government. My family was depending on me for their survival, but I thought because of my disability I could not do any more and so I was idle at home. Then in 2005, I joined the Ramoshoane project, were I received training and the gift of 12 laying hens. It has changed my life, I am no longer idle, but an entrepreneur. An owner of a micro enterprise. I'm like those people who go to work on daily basis and are remunerated monthly. I never thought that was possible ! I am able to take care of my family now. they are eating nutritional food and I am able to supplement my disability grant with income generated through egg sales. The project has brought joy and unity to my family. I also serve as the good example to the community where I'm living. They have been motivated and are now interested to join the project.
